yours truly – september/october

I’m ashamed of myself that I have let the busyness of life and my schedule keep me from vision and stability, and that I have allowed myself to slack in areas where I need to be pressing in. Sometimes I realize that I over commit myself and then it causes me to not give 100% with every area that it needs it. But I hope that I can get back on track!

  • The main movie that I have went to see for this month is War Room”. What an incredible movie to see with one of my amazing friends. War Room is described here as your prayer closet or the area in which you can shut yourself off from the world and just pray and talk to God with no distractions. It was a movie with such boldness, authority, and power, and convicted me that I do not do this nearly enough! It convicted me that yes I tend to be a lukewarm Christian even though people may see me differently, that I do not spend enough time in prayer, that I do not speak or pray with enough boldness and authority, and that I do not spend enough time fighting on my knees. If you haven’t gone to see this movie, it is a MUST see!
  • On the list to go see is “90 minutes in Heaven” and “Woodlawn”.
  • The top songs that I have been listening to lately are “It Is Well” by Bethel Music, “At The Cross” by Chris Tomlin, “Here’s My Heart” by Lauren Daigle, “Great Are You Lord” by All Sons and Daughters, “Through All Of It” by Colton Dixon, and “My Story” by Big Daddy Weave. In high school and even college I listened to a variety of music that wasn’t contemporary Christian or Christian music at all, and these past couple of years it is all I can listen to. I have noticed a change in my heart and in my attitude when I shut everything else out and just listened to music that encouraged me through every circumstance. K-Love radio station has a 30-day challenge where they encourage you to listen to only Christian music for this duration of time and see if there are changes made in your life and in your attitude. I encourage you to take this challenge; it has changed mine!
  • I am working on my Thank You Cards and your Rewards so if you have had any part financially and/or prayerfully in this process and in support, be expecting these to be sent out by this week!
  • I am finally going back into the studio this Tuesday to finish the vocals! It has been a very long and stressful process but it has been all in the Lord’s timing in when I get it all complete. I am beyond excited to be working on it further and singing my heart out for the glory of God in this album. Thank you all for your patience and continued prayers and support!
